

What is DAGAL?
Is a unique project that aims to gather young imaginative people in picturesque and inspiring context of Alta Langa area (Piedmont region, Italy) and give them opportunity to discover and experience its cultural and natural potential, to develop an artistic outcome to its heritage, and draw attention of the outer world to this authentic place.
Inside the project young people can find a place and courage to see the world outside of usual socio/cultural echo chamber and safe zone, develop cross-cultural and crosslinguistic interactions using the one of most powerful tools - Art!

Advance Planning Visit

Introducing to the Group leaders and the Youth leaders the area, beginning to work on a common strategy and discussing the artistic direction of the project. Participants will contribute with ideas and potential suggestions about the programme
1st Youth Exchange

Using the power of ARTivism
and art as fundamental means of expression and growth of ideas, we will have opportunity to react to the cultural heritage during workshops applying also digitalization tools

Represents an opportunity to see the future of arts, how it is linked with the present
and how we can develop and use artistic skills to express ourselves and the cultural heritage of any place we will

Costs & Reimbursement
– Travel costs, accommodation, food and the program itself are co-funded by the European Union through the ERASMUS+ program
- There is participation fee to be paid upon arrival 20€. With this contribution each participant will obtain Parco Culturale membership that is valid until the end of the year and allows to participate in all three steps of the project (APV, 1st and 2nd Youth Exchange).
– The travel costs will be reimbursed for the amount shown in the original boarding passes, tickets and invoices, up to the limits indicated in the chart
- According to Erasmus+ regulation you can travel up to 48h before and after the Youth Exchange, meaning in this case 13-14th July the earliest and 24-25th July the latest.

– Please note that the amounts in the chart are the MAXIMUM amounts that will be reimbursed, all the costs exceeding these amounts should be covered by the participant as well as the costs for accommodation sustained in case you decide to start your travel before the arrival day and after the departure day
- VISA costs will be reimbursed according to the amount shown on the ORIGINAL documents, up to a MAXIMUM amount 100€
– For this reason, is essential that you keep and bring all the original tickets and invoices of the traveling and VISA

*private shuttles are arranged in order to bring the whole group of participants from the pick up points in Milan to the accommodation of the Youth Exchange in Bergolo. The cost for the round-trip bus (70 Euro per person) is already deducted from the original amount available for travel reimbursement.

VENUE
Youth Exchange will take place in Bergolo, a village of 50 inhabitants located on the hills of south Piedmont, in Italy. The village doesn’t have shops and it is the ideal place for disconnecting, dive in nature and stay together as a group without external distractions.
Bergolo has a long tradition of music, art & cultural festivals. It is a peaceful destination for nature and outdoor activities lovers.
We'll stay in L'Alveare hostel (meaning "The Hive"). The hostel provides shared rooms for 2-3-4 persons.




FOOD
3 meals per day + 2 coffee breaks will be offered to participants. The food during the project will be vegan / vegetarian
CONDITIONS
Participants will be involved in light household duties (cleaning the common areas, checking that people are on time and similar)
POLICY
No alcohol is allowed during the working sessions to ensure active and positive involvement of the participants

Meet the Team

Laura Fatini
Dramaturgy, theatrical pedagogy direction.
She has attended courses and workshops inherent to theatrical practice: playwriting with Ugo Chiti, dance with Grazia Galante and Giorgio Rossi, directing with Beppe de Tomasi, theater pedagogy with Gianluca Iumiento, lighting design with Salvatore Mancinelli, physical theater with Chiara Michelini (Compagnia Teatropersona) and Benji Reid (UK), parkour performance with The Urban Playground Team (UK), social theater and psychotherapy with Armando Punzo and Chiara Lui, Theater of the Oppressed with Marco Pollarolo and psychotherapist Monica Prato. Always curious about all behind-the-scenes aspects (including lighting engineering and scene construction), Laura Fatini is involved in both directing, theater pedagogy and dramaturgy, as well as theater organization and project management.

Francesco Pipparelli
Facilitator and Project Coordinator with artistic methodologies (theater, creative writing, music).
Communication expert and brand identity consultant, specialized in storytelling/campaign design and sustainable and inclusive communication, social media manager with experience in videomaking. Internationally active in the fields of inclusion and empowerment of minorities, he has participated in several projects and initiatives on a European level, winning the European Charlemagne Youth Prize in 2017 (within the TCFT project, English winner) and in 2022 (The Giufà Project, Italian winner), shortlisted for the European Citizen's Prize 2020. In 2022 he participates as a non-formal educator in the European Parliament - Educators Event in Brussels, directs theater workshops for the Nuova Accademia degli Arrischianti in Sarteano (SI) and works with Laura Fatini on workshops for Rondine Cittadella della Pace (AR)

George Caprariu
Parkour Athlete and facilitator.
Part of the Tired Movers Team of the Nuova Accademia degli Arrischianti in Sarteano, Italy.
He has worked with the ID-entitas project, (Intergenerational dialogue about identity and cultural heritage through art) leding a workshop on parkour and performance.
Participated in TCFT project in Portland (UK) and TCFT Bratunac (BIH), working with Opera Circus UK, Centro Studi Sereno Regis, and learning from the UrbanPlayGround Team.
Participated in the parkour performance, also helping designing the choreography with members of Tired Movers directed by Laura Fatini, during the "Sarteano Jazz&Blues" festival by the Teatro Comunale degli Arrischianti.
